It's been so long since I was able to work on artwork I didn't feel I HAD to do. So often, my artwork is either commission based, driven by convention sales, or for the comic. This time, it was all for me. And even though it features my comic character, Maqqy, I was still so happy to be able to work on it.
Those who've looked through my archives have probably noticed I tend to use very bright colors in my art. For once, I wanted to change that, and gave this picture a slightly softer look. I really like the effect of it, so don't be too surprised if I try and keep up this new trend.
