Contest Results 2004
FIRST PLACE WINNERS
This year, it was fairly obvious who was going to win the Talent gatagory (since the voting was unanamous). However, the Content/Humor catagory had a 4-way tie and I had to come up with some new rules in order to elimanate 2 of the pics. In the end, out of the two left, we settled on a winner, although it was close.
Winner - Humor: Timestones managed to win this spot by the simple fact that this is every boy's worst nightmare.
Prize: Timestones decided he wanted a picture of his favorite EXE charcters, Tamako, giving poor Netto a hard time.
Winner - Talent: Dez won by a landslide. Though the votes for second place were numerous and various, everyone had to agree that this was a beautiful picture.
Prize: Dez asked (and waited patiently) for a picture of two of his female characters.
Second Place
Although there's no prize for second place winners, both of these winners should feel proud of themselves, since they both did a great job.
2nd Place - Humor: Todd's piece originally tied for first place, and to me it's still incredibly funny. As one of the judges put it "Only Numberman could pull that off and make it funny".
2nd Place - Talent: I've long since been a fan of Pyro's beautiful artwork, and I think P really pulled off a good pic. Of course, the fact that I'm a rabid Burnerman fan would have nothing to do with that >_>;
Runner Ups
This contest is almost to the point where we can display both 3rd and 4rth place winners. It seems like each year one or both of the catagories pulls off a tie. Unfortunatly, as this contest gets more entries each year, that means more people that didn't win a placing. But, many of these entries got at least one vote. As a matter of fact, I think very few of these didn't get voted on, so each artist should feel proud of their work and keep trying.
